The team

At Château Grand Grange, the work is done in close collaboration between the owner Per Hakon, Solenn, and Andrea, not forgetting the harvesters. A true, efficient, and enriching team effort.
  • Per HAKON SCHMIDT Owner

Legal advisor in Denmark and passionate about French history and culture, Per hesitates no longer to purchase Château Grand'Grange in 2009.

It was an obvious choice for him to renovate it and give his vineyard the nobility it deserves. After several land acquisitions, Château Grand'Grange currently has nine wine cellars.

His wife Marianne, a lawyer in Denmark, is always there to help and support him in all decision-making regarding the estate.

Son of an Italian sommelier, Andrea developed an interest in tasting and the world of wine from a young age. This passion led him to study viticulture in Burgundy.

At 30 years old, with different experiences, he decided to settle in Beaujolais to take on a new challenge as the manager of Château Grand'Grange.

His open-mindedness regarding winemaking methods and vine cultivation is a great asset to the château and its development.

Solenn FAURE-CHAPPAT Administrative and Commercial Manager

Having studied event management and communication, Solenn came to Beaujolais to follow her partner Andrea Pugliese.

After a few months in the region, she discovered the world of wine through administration at a winery in the Pierres Dorées.

Since arriving at the Château in 2021, Solenn has shown great versatility within the estate. In addition to managing administration, sales, and social media, she doesn’t hesitate to lend a hand in the vineyards.

Often traveling with Andrea to trade shows, you will have the opportunity to meet her and exchange with her.

The harvesters

Although the estate is managed by full-time staff, we need a strong team when it comes to the harvest.

In scorching temperatures or refreshing rain, the estate needs a team of twenty seasonal workers for about ten days.

Our harvesters are always ready and willing to give their all to pick the grapes.

We rely on young students, both French and foreign, who help us bring energy and conviviality to this tough and intense period.
